Born in 1966 in Bastia, he lives and works in Paris and Morsiglia (Cap Corse in Corsica), Gilles is a one-off character, artist and in love with the sea.
Gilles Cenazandotti developed a reflexion about the future of our planet and the evolution of our styles of life. Impressed but what the sea rejects and in turn transforms, he harvests on the beaches the vestiges derived from oil and his industry.
The choice for animals of endangered species completes his approach. By recovering these animals with a new skin harvested from the seaside, he hopes to draw attention to the possible metamorphosis. His works try to show a complex, enigmatic nature and a technological paroxysm where humans try to imitate nature by recreating it artificially.
