Presentation

Karpop is a French artist born in Paris in 1971. She started by working in publishing and communication before giving into her desire for artistic creation and dedicating herself to art ten years later.

She glues, creases and cuts before finally painting, using her own, unique technique. Karpop's designs are inspired by her own childhood filled with glitter, confetti, silk and craft paper. The materials she uses create a thickness and an array of different layers, which she homogenizes using resin.

Tel Aviv and New York have become primary sources of inspiration for the artist. She frequently travels to these cities which have become the core of her work. Karpop has also been greatly influenced by pop culture. She honors artists of this movement by recomposing with deconstructed iconic images, such as the Campbell soup painting.

Her work has been exposed during several exhibits, namely in New York, which the artist sees as a blessing.
