Jean-Pierre Collin was born in 1964; the animals as such less captivate this animal photographer and more the fascinating relationship the human beings exchange with them. Pets, farm, leisure or production animals, wild animals born in captivity; all are domesticated. Humans are never far. Sometimes Jean-Pierre Collin makes portraits of both the owner and the pet or is interested in the animal alone but it is the human side of it that will be at the core of the photography: the angle or the animal? The photographer is almost a philosopher.
