Céline Z. alias Bibiche Zède was born in 1980 in Trappes, in the outskirts of Paris. She currently lives and works in Rennes. Self-taught, her work includes illustrations, paintings, installations as well as photography.
Undoubtedly inspired by an urban adolescence, always surrounded by a concrete environment, she developped some of her works around the heritage of the city, the aesthetics generated by fluorescence and a particular line work, inspired by street art and pop culture.
Combining graphic research with systematic line drawing as well as raw painting, her art directly reflects the energy of the city. In her work, we find at the same time references to posters of propaganda as well as to graffiti and raw art but above all references to the arrogance of the 90s.
