Originally from Paris, Illeah signs his works with this name, in a nod to certain significant periods in his life. With a background in journalism and communication, it is in the world of fashion that she has evolved over many years, which has allowed her to travel the world and become passionate about the rest of the world.

Curious by nature, loving art in all its forms, she was first introduced to photography, and more particularly urban photography. This pastime quickly becomes a passion, and she wishes to go further, to discover another world, that of painting. Originally born on street walls and ephemeral by nature, Illeah seizes street Art or Urban Art to blend into the canvas.

Graffiti artist, street artist, painter... Illeah could not fit in boxes and claims his freedom of creation as well as his will of expression.

If his work evolves around the universe of graffiti it is because this very specific art was always considered as being the voice of the mass, a way to transgress the rules or to shout loud and clear a fact or a general dissatisfaction, a priori. To echo the heavy messages of desires and lives that were inscribed on the Berlin Wall, Illeah plays with words...

When you look at this universe, you quickly realize that the main idea is communication. Through illustration or writing, Illeah wishes to convey a message, a statement, a discontent or, on the contrary, something that makes one happy and makes one want to cry out loud and clear for happiness. Whether it is a political message, a demand, a revolt, a social event that disturbs, Illeah's work takes on the appearance of a mirror of a community, a reflection of what the mass feels and thinks... but does not say.

His trademark? Build an interior different from the apparent reflection of the personality of the person who lives there. Not to comfort the person in his ego, but to draw him towards his essence, to help him give birth on his own.

Illeah does not paint identically, does not always respect the usual technical principles either, but rather works spontaneously and instinctively, using the brush as well as the spray or sponges offering themselves an explosion of rich colors and materials, bright and contrasted. mixing all forms of processes: adding objects to the painting, projection of matter...

She draws her inspiration from a wonderful play on words from everyday life and feeds on the richness of the people around her. She brings back to her studio the impression and the atmosphere of a space, images, shapes and colours that she reorganizes in her own way and then brings back to the canvas.
