Marine Guillemot is a French artist born in 1960. She lives and works in the Luberon Valley, Provence, France.
Marine worked as a freelance artist for 15 years (1980 – 1995). She explored diverse fields such as make-up, fashion and graphic design. She worked in Paris, London, Milan, New York and Los Angeles. Her clients were internationally recognized institutions mostly interacting with show business.
Today Marine is happily settled in beautiful Provence, where the inspiration can come from simply looking out the window of her secluded house and seeing the poppies in spring or the fluttering shades of greens from an olive grove, the colorful leaves in autumn and light, which, for many of the Masters, was in itself an inspiration.
Marine Guillemot's style is direct. The glass on which she works crystalizes the tactile quality and the dynamism of her palette. The transparency of the material is chosen to amplify the purity of the colors, and enhance luminosity.
