Michel Lamy

Michel Lamy is a French painter, he lives and works in Mortagne-sur-Sèvre. Since his childhood, he has been immersed in art "I fell into the cauldron of painting, when I was a child. I paint what I see around me".
Michel Lamy works for the company, Thales and therefore travels around the world. Without any doubt, his travels have influenced his painting.

Michel Lamy uses many techniques in painting like the brush but also the palette knife in order to mold the material, but also play with light and textures. Several of his paintings depict the beach and ocean, these are childhood memories when he was on vacation in the Noirmoutier Island.
His paintings are like an invitation to dreams. While on the move, they pass on a certain feeling of harmony, calm and serenity to the spectator.

Michel Lamy belongs to the "Artistes pour l'espoir" association, whose aim is to promote art with the inhabitants of the commune Chantonnay, Les Sorinières and Mouilleron-le-Captif. He exhibited in Loire-Atlantique, in Maine-et-Loire and Vendée, but also villages abroad like Baghdad in 1984.
