Cecile Malbos

Coming from a family of artists from the Gard and Provence, I always drew and painted since very small, it was like evidence. My great grandfather, Ernest Malbos, was a watercolor painter from 1885-1960), my great uncle was curator of the Granet museum in Aix-en-Provence... the watercolors fed my little girl imagination. My cousin is today President of the artistic representations of Pont du Gard, where my father has been buried for thirty years...

After my Deug of Plastic Arts at the faculty of letters of Aix en Provence, my whole life has switched to another trajectory. Fate took me away from painting and I studied for four years in Lausanne, Switzerland in a Hotel School. I worked as a Commercial Director in luxury hotels for 10 years, until everything stopped when my daughter arrived. An empty or full period, happiness but also boredom, conducive to creation against all odds ...

One day a vision, a basement parking flooded, flash on a wall, this image will not leave me anymore ... I come out my brushes and I brush, I color, I paint, I draw, I put, I like it again, it speaks to me again.
