This 35-year-old self-taught artist from Deauville has created sculptures representing the famous beach umbrellas. Copies are present on the red carpet of the American Film Festival until September 14, 2018. The painters Fernand Léger, André Hambourg, James Rassiat, as well as the photographers John Batho and Massimo Vitali have represented the parasols of Deauville on numerous occasions , and have contributed to their popularity, including outside the hexagonal borders. But this emblem of the Norman city had never been fashioned into sculpture. It's now done, with the work of Julien Sartkis, a 35-year-old artist from Deauville who has created representations of famous parasols. The works come in several formats: 185cm and 85cm. For the moment, only a dozen large formats are in circulation, including a few parasols in the colors of the American flag, which are present on the red carpet of the Deauville Festival.
