Presentation

Maddalena Rodriguez-Antoniotti spends all her youth in Paris. After higher studies at the Sorbonne (notably at the Center d'Histoire du Syndicalisme, which later became Center d'Histoire Sociale du XXème siècle), she taught in various high schools in the Paris region. She then chooses to come live in Corsica, the birthplace of her parents.

She abandons teaching to devote herself to painting. Her abstract variations on old paper led her to knit Mediterranean alphabets together. A little later she starts practising photography. Her first work took her place in the archives of the French National library. She then conducts a research on The sea at work, part of which was exhibited at the Bastia Museum in 2018.

In 2008, the Territorial Collectiviy of Corsica awarded her the Grand Prix des arts plastiques (in photography).

Her photographic work is about three islands of the Mediterranean Sea, Corsica, Crete and Sicily.
