Stéphane Desmares is a French artist born in 1965.
A multidisciplinary artist, who was originally a carpenter, Stéphane Desmares disconcerts his audience with his Utopian paintings, made with ink on paper and with a big amount of pharmaceuticals. His sculptures are just as recognizable, due to his unique style which is very easily spotted.
Stéphane Desmares focuses mainly on the female figure, he depicts as well beach landscapes and ocean scenery, we always find, however, a vague and most of the time, a naked human figure without a head but voluptuous.
In his sculptures, Stéphane Desmares likes to beat the challenges of time and sculpts very fast. Between haste and vivacity, the artist creates with a certain dexterity, a cry of hope print in his sculptures.
Stéphane Desmares' works seek to test the viewer and are composed of very harmonious colors. It's his whole environment that Stéphane seeks to represent through his sculptures and his paintings. This environment is just as diverse as the many techniques used by Stéphane, drawing, sewing, sculpturing, writing and music.
