Presentation

Always fascinated by Space and galaxies, these parallel worlds, he began to paint at the age of 15, first on paper, then on canvas. Born in 1957, in the south, he remains very imbued with this unique light. His multicolored “ink sets” gradually gave birth to a very personal gesture, including humor, symbolic winks and mastery of a complex technique (research work on digital media, color by color construction for harmony. perfect, then transposition on the canvas.) Insertions of gold leaf, sequins or other personal recipes come to magnify the whole, already very harmonious. Little by little, he uses the technique of Digigraphy and then Dropping. And the finish has an extremely brilliant result thanks to an original trick… Historical references will also brighten up his creations such as these mythical characters (Maryline Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, James Dean, Humphrey Bogart, Charlie Chaplin, Eiffel Tower, Moulin Rouge etc). His cosmic ballets and his “Sky Ribbons” lead us into a frenzied dance. Its bursts of color, veritable fireworks swirling around real or imaginary monuments give a magical dimension through their cheerfulness and luminosity. Quotations or poems sometimes illustrate his creations, according to his inspiration (eg Jean Gabin's reply to Michelle Morgan in Quai des Brumes…). Although still very young, he was able to gain the loyalty of his clientele through exhibitions that were initially timid and then more and more asserted in very contemporary spaces, or on the contrary unusual and unpublished: in an abandoned chapel in Provence, group exhibition in a old school, then in a cinema transformed into a nightclub: he likes quirky places, out of time, which inspire him for his future creations. He is a night owl, and his most beautiful compositions are born at night. A very nice meeting in London in 2007 with the Galerie Les Tournesols opened up new horizons for him, and their complicity gave rise to exhibitions, always elegant abstract compositions, research into unusual materials to always surprise his customers.
