Born in: 1981

Alexis is a young French photographer, born in 1981.

A fan of history since his childhood, Alexis travels around his region to find industrial areas transformed by man and takes pictures of them. As a true "archaeologist photographer", his artistic approach is about gathering testimonies in order to better understand the place.

His photography is quite spontaneous and he doesn't work much on it. Alexis displays black and white photos, which are strong and contrasting, light plays an important role in his work.

His favorite theme is a deserted industrial place, they mean as much to Alexis as it does to the spectator who is caught unawares by the beauty and poetry of an unexpected place.
