Anne Iris

Anne Iris is a French painter trained at the Mett Pennhingen and Jacques Dandon workshops as well as at the School of Fine Arts in Paris. She mainly draws her inspiration from artists such as Francky Criquet and Adlane Samet and art brut in general.

From a childhood punctuated by many trips, Anne Iris remembers the museums where her parents took her regularly and the discovery of the arts of other civilizations. Considering them at first as a means of distraction, drawing and painting quickly become essential to its development.

His curiosity leads him to explore different paths throughout his career, from monochrome to monotype, including rake work. Transparency,

light and color are its key words today.

Artistic approach

Through her paintings, Anne Iris seeks to capture moments of life, everyday images with which everyone can identify. The artist represents his models anonymously so that the viewer can appropriate the atmospheres, attitudes and sometimes feelings evoked in his compositions. Working on canvas as well as on paper, she combines Posca with acrylic paint that she applies in transparent washes, showing the lines of the felt pen below.

Anne Iris' work has won her exhibitions in France, notably at the Salon d'Automne at the Grand Palais in Paris, but also abroad as at the Tsukuba Museum of Art in Tokyo.

They have been purchased in Dubai, the United States, Japan and Amsterdam among others.
