SaméArtFree is a plastic artist of French-Cameroonian origin, born in Saint-flour (Cantal) in 1967.
He was originally trained in Bantu traditional art in Cameroon (people of Central Africa) in 1988. In 1992, he completed a professional training for plastic surgeon at the Arsec Lyon.
In 2009-2010, graduated from the Institute of Crafts of the image of Avignon, painting at a primordial place which naturally fits into its approach of the moment with its current medium: photography.
The artist has turned to radically modern artistic designs and the news now allows him to be in better agreement with himself and the reality of our world.
Matured in its plastic research, SaméArtFree offers a residual look whose colour, material and depth are evocative of Africa, its traditions and its scars.
The works he presents are part of the extension of his last residence in Senegal. Thirsty to know his history, he resided three months to immerse himself on this continent as if to go to meet a place.
The island of Gorée "The House of the slaves":
"This place has frozen my blood and yet what strength have I drawn, feel all these souls and imagine all the tragedies that have had to live. I have felt all the indifference of mine towards these others who are me too. My intermingling made me feel the whole story of this place forgotten by us but that is still in the present. Have we learned? Have we understood our faults? "In Libya, men always sell!"
Our current worlds reflect the hatreds of the past, let us serve these men to open our eyes to each other where each is different from the other "men are born free and equal in rights".
Let us know how to live together in Peace and that wars and other hatreds no longer take precedence over our Liberty".
