Yves Sparfel

Self-taught painter, born in 1947, in the Côtes d'Armor in Brittany. He discovered painting at the end of a period of rupture in his personal life. Nothing predisposed him to this meeting, except a vague feeling of being able to create with his hands. After a quick foray into the world of woodcarving, he decided to attempt the adventure of painting in a very uncertain way… His tools: oil, knives and linen His universe: light, nature and if possible Brittany…. This "hobby" gradually settled, in complete confidentiality, in her life as a quest and as a space of freedom in a very demanding professional life. After his retirement, he accepted, after much hesitation, to bring his quest to the eyes and judgments of his contemporaries by participating in or organizing exhibitions and creating a website.
