Laurent Villeret is a French photographer born in 1960.

From high school, Laurent Villeret has tried printing in a dark room, a passion that he will then go into in depth at the Louis Lumière School before working as an aerial photographer and a navigator in the Persian Gulf for 3 years. Back in France, he started documentary photography and taught at the Iris Center from 2002 to 2005.

Today Laurent Villeret works for publishing and the press, in particular for famous newspapers as Libération, Le monde, La croix, L’express, Télérama or even Biba, as well as for communication agencies like Altedia and Publicis Network. He is also the co founder of the photographs cooperation Dolce Vita created in 2002, and has been a member of the Picturetank agency since 2007.

Since 2005 L’Oeil Ouvert gallery has been representing Laurent Villeret. His photographs have also been exhibited at Les Voisins gallery in 2007, at the Oh Festival in 2006, at the Dorothy’s Gallery in 2006, at the Lhomond place in 2006 or even during the Mois Off of photo in 2005.
