Siyamala

Simalaya come from Sri Lanka. She was born on January 15, 1989. His first eyes were on a land of flamboyant colours and a dazzling nature.

During her early childhood, she nourished on the countless shades of colour and sublime landscapes that surrounded her as well as on the mythological stories that her grandmother told her and that she now loves so much, transcribe through her works.

One day the departure to Europe comes, France will welcome it. Happy chance that led her to the cradle of the Impressionism movement for which she took passion and awakened her taste for painting.

The painting workshops she attended during her adolescence allowed her to diversify the techniques, the materials used and to assert herself in the choice of colors and in the oniric character of her first paintings. In 2009, she saw the cruelty of man during the events of the civil war in Sri Lanka. This marked a turning point in his vision of the world but also in his approach to painting and his works.
