Ace Nilsson

Contemporary visual artist, Ace Nilsson was born in Paris. A medical student and jewelry and accessories stylist for major luxury houses, she devotes herself definitively to artistic creation after fifteen years of activity in cosmetic surgery. Her passions for Art and contemporary painting lead her to Fine Arts in Budapest where she discovers the diversity of artistic craft techniques that will allow her to enrich her palette and her vocabulary, nourishing a natural and demanding creativity. Ace is currently working on light and reflection. The old-fashioned plasters give substance to the material on which the shadows hang. The work with white gold leaf induces a movement, a real interaction between the viewer, the work and the light, whatever its nature. In oil, pigments or acrylic, Ace Nilsson treats the square format as a space of energy and openness. Clean, sturdy shape, identical to itself in every way. Impression of balanced completeness. The work is inscribed on a simple geometric surface but with a multiple approach. The edges covered with white gold leaf structure the square, orient the reading and allow to play with the light of the exhibition space ... The work comes to life, evolves, transforms over the hours. Multiple reflections. Light becomes a material and offers an infinity of perceptions to the eye. The artist exhibits in international capitals, Budapest, Vienna, Berlin, Copenhagen, Beirut, New York, Luxembourg, Belgium, Japan and Morocco, under the aegis of King Mohammed VI. Ace Nilsson also participates in numerous exhibitions of cultural institutions on the national territory including an exhibition at the Arab World Institute or a retrospective dedicated to him in 2012 by the city of Le Havre, in the person of Mr. Edouard.
