Biography

Born in 1973, Laetitia Schlesse-Gamelin is a French artist.

Laetitia Schlesser-Gamelin studied at a school of training for art teachers Martenot and obtained a degree in teaching. She created her own atelier called "Atelier 101" in 2005, where she taught different techniques of drawing, painting and fine arts.

In her personal work, Laetitia Schlesser-Gamelin dedicates especially to photography. She is interested in urban and architectural lights, in black and white. In her series called " Stripes", we can see that the artist moves gradually towards abstraction. But the artist retains the essential components of her work, her study of colors and light. Abstraction is not a goal for the artist who sometimes adds discrete figurative details to her pieces.

Lately, Laetitia schlesser-Gamelin uses other media and materials such as resin on canvas.Her inspirations are diverse, she passes from the study of the myth of Narcissus in her series "Suites Narratives" to the representation of pop icons of the popular culture in her series " Colorshaker".
