Jean-Luc Agne

Born in: 1950

Jean-Luc Agne was born in 1950, lives and works in Vercors.

A fan of images since his childhood, Jean-Luc Agne initially dedicated himself to painting, but soon discovered photography through MJC photo-club then university. He perfected this further all by himself.

He hasn't stopped creating images since then, realizing his prints in silver and since twelve years in the digital format.

He wasn't able to display his professional life until recently due to health problems. He decided to devote himself only to photography. He has seen many mountains since his childhood and youth, therefore he retains his vision on landscape, often overrun by mist which makes up a patchwork between the visible and the hidden, mysterious areas and serenity.

Settled in the mountains, he constantly observes this majestic ballet and tries to create a link with elevation and sky and share a feeling of fullness and the ephemeral nature of things.

"A silent and concentrated photographer, both in front of nature and things, he photographs speed, distorts time by combining particles before their transformation. Alchemist of time and speed, he takes us on a journey of the invisible and inexpressible. The scenery stretches out between the sky and Earth creating space, like in the Chinese painting, continuing to exist beyond what is already seen".
