Born in 1984, Michael Beerens lives and works in Parisian region.
Michael Beerens’ work associates his two passions in life : graffiti and underwater world.
As a teenager, he began, at the end of the 90’ years, to draw in public areas with graffitis.
During a travel in Turkey, the artist discovered scuba diving.
Growing up, Michael Beerens has a passion for those two activities fot which he spent more and more time. At the age of 24, he became deep-sea diver to embrace a underwater video artist’s career.
During the same time, he developped his drawing practice and began to draw his paintings in the streets. His passion for underwater world gave him a particuliar sensitivity for the Nature and the animal world, which became his favourite themes. They are the starting point of his Modern Fable’s set, where the artist approaches current issues like pollution, nature’s destruction, animals in captivity, intensive farming …
His work is engaged for wildlife protection and ecology.
