Michael Dapremont is a French artist, born in 1980 who lives and works in Paris.
After studying art history, Michael Dapremont decided to devote himself to his artistic production, both pictorial and musical. In recent years, he has participated in numerous group and personal exhibitions as well as in a post-blues music group.
These mediums are multiple: painting, illustration, photography, video and sound installation. His work explores recurring issues in the history of art, figuration, time and its traces, through an excessive representation of bodies.
Sensations emerge: brutality of bodies, sober colors, primitive sounds.
It offers the viewer an atmosphere oscillating between symbolism, realism and expressiveness. Touching the body and the flesh, dying, becoming, his art plays on the subtlety of the senses and poses an introspective and disturbing look at our reality sometimes disembodied.
