Inki

Inki is an artist from the Lyon region in France. Self-taught and sensitive to the world around her, she seeks to transpose her thoughts on paper. Bold and delicate, Inki is a young woman in her own right and this is clearly felt in each of her creations.

"Once upon a time, the portrait"

The portrait is for her, a way of feeling what is happening in the eyes of the other. The pencil was his first weapon to draw faces charged with powerful emotional energy. She does not seek perfection in any way, but that "little something" that is transmitted with the eyes.

"The turning point of his life"

From 2017, she chose to give a new turn to what she thought was unfinished. After several years of illness, she swapped her pencil with brush and felt-tip pen. Melancholy and strong at the same time, she tried new techniques to try to engrave her pain on paper.

One day, while scribbling on a white sheet of paper, the lines multiplied. She didn't think she would feel such things when visualizing her achievement, but it all became obvious. The evidence to link the abstract to the figurative, the black to the color. To make chaos brighter, more optimistic. No more all or nothing, but a harmony of the two.

Above all, Inki wishes to convey the idea that "beauty is not a quality inherent in things themselves" but "that it exists only in the mind of the one who contemplates it". A quote from Hume that animates his fingers on his own artistic horizons.
