Presentation

Born in Paris, I became a teacher-educator and worked in this profession until 2008.

At the same time, during a two-year stay in a Moroccan village, bewitched by the grandiose and luminous landscapes that accompany my quest for beauty and plenitude, I took a very close interest in photography. Back in France, I moved to the south of Toulouse, facing the Pyrenees, and there began my journey towards oriental philosophies and yoga. Then, one day, visiting an exhibition, it is the discovery of collage. The possibility, scissors and glue in hand, of continuing photography from a new angle: dreamlike universes, parallel consciousnesses, abstract worlds.

After several years, the need to express my creative energy in a more physical way becomes urgent. So, when the dancer-choreographer Carolyn Carlson asked me in 2002 to practice my art during her masterclasses in Paris, then her dance show in Seville in 2004, I decided to get into painting. Without abandoning collage. I have long been interested in calligraphy and the philosophy that surrounds it, ink comes naturally to the end of my brushes. Ink whose flexibility and fluidity I savor. In 2005, I also turned to acrylic which will not only allow me to paint on larger surfaces, but especially to be able to work the material in thickness.

I regularly exhibit my paintings, notably in Toulouse, Paris, Aix-en-Provence, Brussels and Madrid. This year I will be exhibiting for the second time at the Salon d'Automne in Paris and, in 2020, at Art Capital, also for the second time at the Grand Palais in Paris.

Today, these 3 techniques - collage, ink, acrylic - turn out to be, for me, very complementary in terms of color, texture, manipulation, expression, vibration. So, depending on the mood of the moment, I continue to use them throughout my creations.
