Véronique Barré

Véronique Barré is a visual artist born in the Ardennes in 1962; she is at the origin of unique creations and a technique which is specific to her: passionate about the practice of drawing, she one day had the idea of sculpting the lines she traced. She explored the play of light and shadow previously obtained with charcoal.

Then the choice of paper (to be recycled and so abundant) became obvious to her as a real material. She then began to produce paintings in the form of high abstract reliefs, and found her highlight: white. Her atypical, sensitive and surprising approach is nourished by environmental and spiritual questioning, and a fascination with architecture, nature and the plant world.

She exhibited her first works in 2011 and was noted as a “favorite” by a Champardennais tabloid. In 2014, she received the first prize at the Libr'Art fair in Libramont in Belgium. She exhibits everywhere in France but also in Europe, and is more and more in demand in her adopted region, Burgundy.
