Beatriz Mutelet is a French draftswoman. She lives and works in Lyon.
She studied graphic and visual arts, illustration and specialized in the graphic design field in porcelain and ceramic. She began her career by working for international companies, for whom she created patterns and decorations.
However, the artist never ignored her passion for drawing. In her works, she creates an imaginary and mysterious universe with mysterious women who are intriguing and sensual. Beatriz Mutelet uses pencil, watercolors, ink and lead mine, to which she sometimes adds gold paper or colored areas.
According to her, art is a way of expression and a manner of unveiling the exterior world. Her artistic approach is based on the will to create a link between opposite notions like the perceivable and invisible, gentleness and strength, and more importantly between the interior and exterior world. In her dark and erotic drawings, element transform and reveal the link between organic and vegetable.
