Laure Vieusse

Laure Vieusse began drawing very young and naturally moved towards the representation of the body, emotions, sensuality and movement.

Laure, a graduate in art history and archeology, paints in acrylics for spontaneous expression.

Her personal journey first took her to the Catalan coast where she was imbued with the warm colors and dance performances that particularly touched her.

On the canvas, the bodies are more and more stylized, the movements more assertive.

Very inspired by the living arts, Laure Vieusse frees herself from pure realism, questions human nature in her quest for meaning and sensitivity, and reconstructs a world in the abyss of a reality overflowing with life when you look at it from closer.

Man is in harmony with the environment and is part of a whole. The stylized bodies mingle, support each other. Human relationships are staged in this environment, in their diversity, their complexity, their ambiguity and their unity, in society, within the couple, or as a mirror of Man in front of himself. The energy transmitted by the dance of these exposed individuals, delivers a message of hope through an upward movement, all on a particularly careful background to give the atmosphere and light.

The paintings are often double-read. From a distance they offer an atmosphere, a movement. Up close we discover Life in each element.
