Presentation

Sabine Morvan was born in Morocco but currently lives and works in Barcelona, Spain.

She practices sculpture since the 70s when she joined the studio of Paul Bigorre in Morroco. Sabine Morvan then moved to France to work besides Jean Jacques Hamard who teached at the School of Fine Arts before joining the gallery of Raoul Guiraud in Paris. A path that led Sabine Morvan to numerous exhibitions and that allowed her to meet artists from different backgrounds and from different artistic fields.

She uses bronze on wood to make her sculptures covered with gold patina. Each one of her pieces breathes deep tenderness. Sometimes rounded, other times more angular, the artist sculpts her pieces focusing on the touch and the sensations always without lowering the quality of the technique, it is actually the inverse.

Sabine Morvan exhibits her work in Europe, in Switzerland, Spain and France where she participated at the Salon des Independants at the Grand Palais in 1991 and 1989, in the Middle East, in Lebanon and in the United States. She won the Prix des Ardents in Paris in 1985.
