Presentation

Franck Noto, famous under the pseudonym "Zest", is a French artist born in Montpelier. Due to his family background, he discovered graffiti and tags in 1995, at the age of fifteen and got involved in this very area quickly. From then on, he became an urban abstract painter.

Zest's work summarizes his various influences. His work is structured through key recurring elements, these include bright fluorescent colors and women's bodies. The sensual curves of the latter are in contrast with the pure forms and letters and lose their bearings in a pictorial labyrinth, where suggestion is more important than representation.

Zest revisits these classic codes pertaining to graffiti, he tries to avoid rules and traditions, which were established in advance. He mixes styles and techniques, by using a paint brush and spray paint, but also a marker and a paint roller.

With his TDM team, he has created many colorful frescoes, presented in major European galleries, but also in New York and Noumea.
