Laurentine Burelle

Laurentine Burelle, born in 1980 in Spain, is of Franco-Swiss origin.

After studying design and painting in a Parisian school, Laurentine Burelle launches herself into the world of art. Her works have been hung in art galleries in Saint Tropez, Paris and also in Shanghai.

Often visible in contemporary art fairs and exhibitions, (Salon des artistes indépendants in Paris, Art shopping Paris at the Carroussel du Louvre & Shanghai International Fair) she is now installed in her studio-gallery in Levallois.

Her paintings are expressive and explosive. Colour springs out, the line takes off. Through a play of materials mixing collage and painting, she erases, covers, conceals to reveal what there is to see: a face can be guessed, words impose themselves.

The importance of the text, as well as the gesture, the colour and the spray paint, mark her affiliation to urban art to which she brings a sensitivity and a feminine look. 

Conceived from the recovery of advertising posters in the street, she reworks, tears, paints, glues, claws, sprays? The visuals on Artsper are original canvases but also photographs of original paintings declined on Plexiglas and aluminium supports which bring an ultra contemporary and photographic dimension.

It is therefore possible to make numbered prints of these originals, engraved in all possible dimensions.

Declined in contemporary carpets, these visuals are likely to be modified according to the feasibility of hand knotted or "hand tufted" weavings.
