The cat is a playful, independent, unpredictable, lively, elegant animal. From a pictorial point of view, it is a line, a shape, a stain, a touch, a gesture. I drew a cat from memory, then two and it became a somewhat graphic automatism, a field of artistic experimentation. To give conceptual depth to this research, I made large formats and explored different techniques such as drawing with Indian ink. 

The pure and taut line, the minimal and almost abstract dynamic attachment. Siblings were born, the kittens started to play under my brush, an imbroglio of forms and tasks appeared in an addictive graphic game. And then Coralie grabbed the inks on paper, wanting to add a touch of color. To do this, she brings out the scraps of fabric from her seamstress grandmother. Techniques and supports intersect, overlap in a graphic and playful game. The task, the collage, the movement, everything is good for capturing the spontaneity and the grace of the feline.
