Presentation

Mamï (Amel), Business engineer by training, plastic artist of passion. Free-style and unconventional artist, she defines her art as compulsive and intuitive.

She manages to vary the subjects and techniques. She does not seek absolute realism, but rather wants to invite the observer to emotion, reverie and to meditative travel.

With plastic art, she creates her reality, her semi-realistic, half-imaginary world; often linked to childhood, which remains one of the key periods in which we form our interests. This childhood where she spends her time drawing women with jewelry in the shape of fruits or birds with oversized proportions, houses inspired by Hansel and Gretel; she uses colors that often come back such as blue, green and red inspired by Azur and Asmar.

After adulthood the child's soul has remained, it often highlights women with all their differences, women always with closed eyes (and sometimes with unusual eyelashes to always remain in non-realism). But also to allow his works to emit an emotion other than that of the gaze on which we would tend to focus.

Inspired by Klimt, Picasso, Van Gogh, Baya, she tells us: whatever the current, the important thing is to express your inner self and your vision of the world and above all to succeed in creating an alchemy between the artist and the observer.

Always looking for emotions through the colors that arise, mix and put themselves in osmosis on her canvases, she sometimes decorates her paintings with circles, pastels ...

To provide material, with no intention other than the intuition and inspiration of the present moment. She uses other supports such as glass, wood, cardboard. According to her, all the supports are usable and just want to come to life under our hands.

For the artist painting is a means of escape, it represents a universal language and it remains the best therapy!
