Régine De Forges de Parny

For many years, I have collected objects and materials that invite themselves into my works and enrich them, multiplying the plastic possibilities of expression by juxtaposing them with traditional mediums, to create works in volume. 

A painting by Picasso sparked this passion; so little girl, in 1966 at the Grand Palais, I discovered to my immense astonishment (and delight) that a mop could participate in the construction of a guitar in a work of art ... Literature, poetry, works of great masters, visual hazards are all sources of inspiration when they resonate with my own questions. 

The “plastic universes" that I present materialize these themes, questions and doubts linked to the upheavals that affect life and personality, to the work of the constantly renewed memory that results from it. Color is very important in my work, it represents the brightness of Life, even in its darkest aspects.
