Presentation

After a life devoted to various trades all related to artistic creation, and / or textbooks, it is towards sculpture that Catherine turned to in 2012.
Having discovered modeling in a collective workshop in New Delhi, where she spent 6 years, she very quickly felt the need to sculpt, which she has not stopped developing since.

Since her return to Paris in 2014, Catherine has had the good fortune of being a pupil of Philippe Jourdain, thus progressing in the search for the representation of the human figure. Through her work, she tries to transcribe the strengths and weaknesses of human nature, through postures of everyday life. But it is above all life that inspires her and whose emotions she seeks to recreate.

A furtive image during a dance performance ... a moment stolen from the stranger in the street ... or even familiar scenes from everyday life ... are at the origin of each sculpture. It is the movement that is imprinted in memory and then comes to life by modeling the earth, before being molded and then drawn in plaster, resin or bronze.
