Inspired in particular by the new realists, the humor of Magritte or even the conceptual work of Duchamp, Benoit uses a wide range of techniques and mediums to offer multiple entry points into his universe.

Multidisciplinary, Benoit tackles fields as varied as painting, sculpture, photography, video, neon or installation. Attracted by complex processes, he forges collaborations with other artists and craftspeople.

The message above all. Benoît places technique and materials at the service of the most effective expression and transmission of his emotions. Wishing to make his reflection accessible to as many people as possible, he sometimes goes so far as to insert the question asked or elements of answers within his work.

Behind his offbeat plastic creations appear in particular two universal issues that are dear to him: life and time.

For example, the fragility of life is brought to light in the series “En vie de larmes”: inclusions in the shape of tears. As for the passing time, it is tamed through the series “Traces of life”.
