Georges Maurat, better known as Pleks, is a urban artist born in Morroco and specialized in graffiti. He is passionate about this art since the age of five, age at which he started to tag the walls of his neighbors with wet clay. At the age of 24, he decided to devote entirely to graffiti, and was supported in this project by famous tattoo artist Alex Dwest.
He draws his inspiration from his numerous journeys, which have allowed him to learn new techniques and to enrich his cultural background. His work is a real cry on the streets. Politically engaged, Pleks defends values that today's society seems to have forgotten. Thanks to his sprays and his use of the airbrush, he addreses world's problems going on in our world today.
Pleks practices as well the art of tattooing, which reflect his artistic curiosity and his willingness to explore different universes.
The artist has exhibited his work in Denmark, Brazil, France and Monaco.
