Fabienne Guilbert Burgoa was born in 1992 in Mexico. Graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Arts de Paris-Cergy in 2017, Fabienne Guilbert Burgoa works around the cultural heritage of southern latitudes. Her work revolves around the meeting of contemporary design and traditional practices and techniques related to textiles.

In 2016, her Apolatl project was supported by the Alfredo Harp Helú Foundation and the Museo Textil de Oaxaca. In 2018, she was the winner of the itinerant textile creation residency program of the Alliances Françaises network in Mexico. In 2019, she spent two months in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where she collaborated with craftswomen from the village of Kechene as part of the Versant Sud artistic residency program.
