Karine Detcheverry

Architect by training, born in Quebec, Canada, lives and works in the south of France, Montpellier.

Since 2010, I have been pursuing my own artistic path by applying rigorous principles to my works, whether to explore the use of new materials such as glass, concrete, steel, sheet metal, polystyrene, paint and resin. An endless combination of materials that eventually come together and merge. My work is based on rigorous systems of organization of surfaces, correlations of shapes, as well as vibratory reliefs. I am particularly interested in the instability of perception, opening the way to a work around light and movement.
