"Starting from the posture of taking myself as a model, object and not subject, I have been using for several years this archetypal character whose reflection is dispossessed of personality to be only a“ body-place ”, an in-carnation.
In this constraining and repetitive device of this bipolar body - model and painting -, I seek the tension, tension of the body.
On the canvas, I deliver the bewilderment, the daze of the body, of the face offered to testify to the concern for the human being, the uneasiness, the in-tranquility.
Embroidering and painting participate in the same process of retrenchment and rehashing, I work there in the same way with a restrained body, in tension. Therefore, I use embroidery in installations around painting.
I want to account for and with the tenuous, the insignificant like these pieces of cloth bearing traces, "days", mending.
The installations allow the circulation of meaning, of meaning between the canvases, in crossover, a resonance, an overflow too.
And always restarting, necessity, I have been in this vein for several years: I want to work on this exhaustion of form, to root everything out of the image. "
