Albina Urbanek

Albina Urbanek, Franco-Russian came to France in 2011. My native country offered me a rich international culture, thanks to which I express my feelings and my emotions in the fine arts.

Self-taught, over the years, I studied and improved several techniques such as oil or acrylic painting, drawing, watercolor and pastel. In recent years, oil and acrylic painting has been my main medium.

At the beginning I worked more in the figurative style by creating landscapes, still lifes, portraits and other compositions.

Not liking to be locked into the same kind of work, I experiment with other styles.

Lately I've been working more and more in rather naive and fantastic styles.

And, depending on my mood, I go back to the figurative from time to time.

I like to seek and express the beauty of the world around me, to guess the characters of the characters. I transmit my emotions and my vision of the world through my work.

More recently I complete my artistic expression with pottery, ceramics and stained glass. Particularly attracted by the work of glass which allows to marry the colors and the light that I transpose both in the classical method (lead) and in the Tiffany method (copper).

I take part in several painting workshops: Beaux Arts workshops of the City of Paris; Decorative Arts (Carrousel workshops); Paris workshops.

For several years I have exhibited in various exhibitions (ACADEMIE INTERNATIONALE L'ECOLE DE LA LOIRE, SOCIETE DES ARTISTES INDEPENDANTS, SOCIETE NATIONALE DES BEAUX ARTS) and in galleries in the Paris region.

I received several prizes: the Interpretation Prize in 2014, the Historic Landscape prize in 2016 in competition, the Stained Glass prize in 2020 from the ACADEMIE INTERNATIONALE L'ECOLE DE LA LOIRE (AIEL); the Certificate of Excellence of the ARTAVITA international competition in 2020.
