X. Dumont is a photographer born in 1963. He lives and works in Lille. He comes from a family of photographers, so he had the opportunity to learn how to take photographs when he was still a child.
In 2012, he joined the Valérie Lefebvre Gallery and took part in a group show. The next year, the gallery presented his solo show “Street view d’Asie” (Street view from Asia) which met a great success. Dumont was also present at Lille Art Fair in 2013 for the first time.
His photographs are essentially inspired by every day situations and by the atmosphere in the streets. His instinct allows him to capture the slightest movements. From Asia to Great Britain, the artist captures moments and presents them in images where the mood expresses an apparent weightlessness.

His work deals with universal themes such as time, humans or the meaning of life.
