Mirlès is a French sculptor, originally from Cluny in Burgundy, she now lives in Ardèche and has been practicing her art for 20 years.
She draws her inspiration from everyday life, nature, scenes of life, cinema, reading ... everything that in her eyes is essential. For her, it is this great “everything" that is always at the origin of the poetic encounter and the opportunity to speak to you in her own way about human nature.
According to Mirlès, humans are infinitely small compared to the world around them, small but endowed with a powerful inner strength. It is these contrasts that she seeks to highlight and move through shards of pieces of life that make up our own human essence.
The softness is embedded in the gesture and Mirlès freezes in a kind of eternity, the invisible power of the human. His sculptures, through their looks and their attitudes, question us about our own questioning.
