Bernard Charoy

France Born in: 1931
Bernard Charoy was born in 1931 in a family of artisans, in Lorraine. In 1955, he studied painting, drawing, and lithography for four years at the Dejoie Atelier in Montmartre. In 1958, he made his first drawings and illustrations for Editions Dargaud. Then ,in 1959, he did drawings for the Presse Magazine and for La Vie Parisienne. He also did portraits of political personalities for the magazine Tout Savoir.

The artist is mainly known for his female representations, the "pin-up". He also excels in doing protraits and in his practice of painting landscapes.
