Bernard Cadène

Born in 1942 in the Aveyron region, Bernard Cadene was torn between his two passions for a long time: art and music. While studying at the Fine Arts School in Lyon, he played the violin and double bass in several orchestras. During this period, he received 19 artistic awards, including the Lefranc grand prix. Now was the time to choose: he had just obtained the position of an art teacher, he gave up music. However, teaching didn't suit him so he left to create. He wasn't able to make a living through his passion, therefore he turned towards publicity and audiovisual. Even though he worked in communication, he yearned to paint therefore he took possession of his brushes in 1985. His creativity was much more refined, he was able to free himself from his fine arts training and express his uniqueness through colored work. Bernard Cadene has exhibited in more than fifteen galleries around France, Europe and USA.
