Pascal Pilate

Grace is the perfect word for Pascal Pilate's works (Born in Paris in 1953). The artist appeared on the contemporary art scene by the end of the 80s. He frequented Fine Arts teachers. An osteopath as well, Pascal Pilate diffuses the same energy through his mediums: The body and art, by combining them.

He follows a therapeutic process based on a refined and purified graphism. Pascal Pilate manages to offer us grace by combining different materials of a single color and a universal motif. He explores and dissects the raw material and its corrosion. A good scholar of graphic theories (of color) and anatomy, Pascal Pilate a real alchemist, offers more than aesthetic emotion, a curative treatment.To be more specific, he composes an orange collection soliciting memory, a green collection making reference to the limit, a rose and black resulting in sensuality, gold in analogy to breathing.... alchemist with his hands, his pieces transmit a certain energy, able to regenerate.
An immaculated color, a sprinkeld texture, a harmony..... compose this energy. The timeless oneirism drift from any stain or disgrace. His "Pilate Parades" open a garden of Eden whose contemplation capture us, disturb us, delight us and heal us.
