Elisabeth Hoffmann

Elisabeth Hoffmann is a French painter. Passionate about painting and drawing since a young age, she obviously decided to study plastic arts. She obtained the CAPES and then a doctorate. Her thesis focused on activities of plastic expression and their impact on their creator. She then became a professor and did also several specialized teachings in relation with artistic meditations. Her personal artistic production is enriched by the human experience of her work, and is densified. Drawings, paintings, assemblages, engravings, sculptures... Elisabeth Hoffmann is a versitile passionate and exciting artist.

Elisabeth Hoffmann works a lot with watercolors. Her technique is very elaborated : she first places the pigments on a wet sheet, lets them fuse, and then starts painting according to the evaporation of water and the drying of the sheet.
The artist approaches the subjects of life and death, love and hate, conflict and attachment. Emotions are hilghlighted on the work of Elisabeth Hoffmann.

It was until 2009 that Elisabeth Hoffmann accepted to exhibit her work, which according to her was personal. Her journey was rewarded since she was awarded at the International Watercolor Fair in 2014 in St Yrieix-la-Perche . In 2016, she was guest of honor at the same fair.
