Biography
Born in 1973 in Franche-Comté, Jérôme Pergolesi is a French multidisciplinary artist, author of poems and short stories. He currenlty lives in Strasbourg. He has a degree in drawing and graphic communication in Ornan, he pursued a training in digital art at the International Center of Video Creation and a degree in multimedia communication in Strasbourg. He uses different techniques, ranging from digital techniques to painting, photography, ink on paper and metaphors. Jérôme Pergolesi approaches life like to a cabinet of curiosities and envelops each object, form or trace by the dream that inhabits it. His drawings, paintings, full of delicacy and tenuous lyricism, give place to daydreaming and to a oneirism where grace resides. "My creations are visual poems inspired by nature, climatic events and the cycle of the seasons. They are questions about the perception of events, memory, temporality, the movement of relationships and the space that occupies the dreams of daily life. I associate the "objects" paint them and/ or photograph them in order to create methaphors and slips of senses like in literature." His poems are read in several literary magazines: Contre Allées, Décharge, Nouveaux Délits, Traction Brabant, Les Tas de Mots, Secousse, Le Capital de Mots, Paysages Ecrits... He is also at the head of the contemporary magazine 17 seconds (Three numbers by year).
