Jean Falsanisi

Born in: 1959

Jean Falsanisi is a French painter born in 1959 in Strasbourg. He first started studying a BTS in advertising design, and then took painting classes at the School of Decorative Arts of Strasbourg. He then worked at the studio of painter Gerard Haug.

At the beginning of his career, Jean Falsanisi chose to dedicate to abstract painting. Over the years, he gradually evolved towards a more figurative style, until completely chaging style. The painter explains this change by comparing it to his own inner journey, which brough him to the discovery of his deep "being". His canvases are to be put in perspective with his own spiritual and psychological adventure, even methaphysical. Passionate about drawing and colors, Jean Falsanisi used oil painting and China ink to create striking canvases, with a unique style. He paints society and all its contradictions, with humor and instinct.
