Anne Colson

Anne Colson is a visual artist born in 1977 in Nancy. She graduated from the National Superior School of Art of Nancy. At first, she focused mainly on photography, and then decided to explore other mediums such as video and documentary films. She also took part in projects relating to cinema and choreography and collaborated thus with numerous artists.

Anne Colson has always been passionate about painting. His artistic signature rests in his "images-subjects" which are a game between photography and painting. Fixed or animated, the latter explores the contrasts between the two universes, until he overcomes them in a homogenous and harmonious whole. The artist's work is highly sensual. It reveals the intimate and appeals to our unconcious desires. For his theater play "Five Meditations on Beauty", Anne Colson did five photographs full of beauty. This subject is surely the recurent subject of his global work.
